Donations are better than gifts – true to this notion, aiticon didn’t send out any Christmas presents to their customers on Christmas 2014. Instead, they helped those in need.
By giving 1000 Euros, the Frankfurt-based IT company joined the fundraiser “MA teilt” (roughly: “MA shares”), initiated by real-estate investor Ardi Goldmann, who added another 50 Cents for every Euro donated. Combined with donations from other tenants in the office building “MA”, a total of 20,790 Euros now went to five charities in Frankfurt: the “Bärenherz-Stiftung” for sick children, the “Franziskustreff-Stiftung” for the homeless, the “Arche” (who organize lunches for children in need), the “Frankfurter Kinderbüro” (Frankfurt’s municipal children’s lobby), as well as the Frankfurt Aids federation.
When moving into the office building „MA“ in Frankfurt’s Stephanstraße, every tenant commits to donating regularly to a good cause – a concept that inspired aiticon’s managing director Matthias Herlitzius from day one. “Therefore, generously rounding up the contractual minimum amount and supporting the projects chosen by Ardi Goldmann was a no-brainer. The money is in good hands there and I am sure our customers will get over not having received even more sweets last Christmas”, said Mr. Herlitzius at the donations’ intimate handover ceremony.
